Baptism

The birth of a child is a significant event in the life of a family and parents often wish to celebrate this beginning in a special way. We in Barry Ministry Area are privileged when we are asked to share in this through the sacrament of baptism.

Baptism (also called christening) is the start of a lifelong faith journey. It is a time for accepting the love of God and promising to follow Jesus — a promise that God helps us to keep through the strengthening power of his Spirit.

Whether you are thinking of baptism for your child or for yourself, the first step is to talk to one of the clergy team. We would be delighted to meet you and explore the options. Baptisms are normally held in each church on a Sunday afternoon at 12.30pm.

There is no charge for baptisms/christenings.
